Who is responsible (controller)
This unofficial GTA 6 launch hub is operated by: Philipp Burk, Germany. The full postal address is available in the legal notice (Impressum) at vicehub-vi.com/de/impressum/.
Contact details for privacy questions and requests are listed under "Contact" at the bottom of this page.
Hosting
This site is hosted in the European Union, on servers provided by Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany). Any data generated by visiting this site — including the server log data described below — is processed on EU-based servers.
As part of normal operation, our hosting provider does not transfer this data to servers outside the EU.
Server log files
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider automatically records a small amount of technical information for each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser type, and the referring page. This happens purely to run the server securely and to diagnose technical problems.
This log data is not combined with any other data source, is not used to build profiles of individual visitors, and is deleted automatically after a limited retention period.
No cookies
This site does not set cookies for tracking, advertising, or personalization, and it does not embed third-party advertising networks or social media widgets/pixels.
The one exception is the spam-protection check on the newsletter sign-up form (Cloudflare Turnstile), which also does not normally set cookies but does connect to Cloudflare's servers when the form loads — see "Newsletter spam protection: Cloudflare Turnstile" below. The rest of the site remains entirely cookie-free.
Analytics: self-hosted Umami (cookieless)
We use Umami, a privacy-first, open-source analytics tool that we host ourselves, to see in general terms how many people visit which pages. No visit data is sent to a third-party analytics company — it stays on our own server.
Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal information such as your name or email address, and does not build a profile tied to you as an individual across visits or across other websites. It only reports aggregated numbers, such as page views, approximate visit counts, and general referrer/browser statistics.
Because this setup is cookieless and does not track identifiable individuals, no cookie-consent banner is required or shown.
Newsletter (launch alerts)
On our newsletter page you can sign up for "launch alerts" to get email notifications about the GTA 6 launch (for example, as soon as preload goes live). Signing up only requires your email address — nothing else.
We use a double opt-in process: after you submit the form, we send a confirmation email with a confirmation link, and your subscription only becomes active once you click it. If you never confirm, your email address is deleted automatically after 14 days — we do not send reminder emails to unconfirmed addresses.
As proof of your consent, we log the time and IP address of both your sign-up and your confirmation.
Emails are sent through the mail infrastructure of our existing provider, ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, where our domain and mailboxes are already hosted. We do not hand this off to a separate third-party newsletter service.
Once confirmed, you'll get a welcome email and, after that, only launch-related notifications (for example, "preload is live"). We do not sell or share your email address with third parties.
You can unsubscribe at any time: every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can just email kontakt@vicehub-vi.com. After you unsubscribe, your address is kept in a blocked/unsubscribed state (so we don't accidentally email you again and can show that you opted out) rather than being deleted immediately.
Newsletter spam protection: Cloudflare Turnstile
To keep the newsletter sign-up form from being abused by bots and spam, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a service from Cloudflare, Inc.
When the sign-up form loads, your browser connects to Cloudflare's servers, which process your IP address and certain browser characteristics to tell humans and bots apart. Unlike older-style CAPTCHAs, Turnstile does not normally set cookies for advertising or tracking purposes.
Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. See Cloudflare's own privacy policy for details on how it processes this data.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links, primarily through the Amazon Associates Program. If you click through and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
See our Affiliate disclosure page for full details on how affiliate links are used and disclosed on this site.
Your rights
This site has no user accounts, no advertising trackers, and no general-purpose cookies, so beyond the non-identifying server log information described above, the only personal data we hold is the email address (plus sign-up/confirmation time and IP address) you provide if you voluntarily sign up for the newsletter — see "Newsletter (launch alerts)" above.
You can ask what personal data we may hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by reaching out through the contact details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
California residents: under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and related state privacy laws, you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request its deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. The only personal information we collect is the minimal server log data outlined in this policy and, if you choose to sign up, the newsletter data (email address, sign-up/confirmation timestamp and IP address) described above.
